COVID 19 how become a viral pandemic?

  The world is presently suffering a pandemic of a contagious disease called coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19. The WHO defines a pandemic as a disease that has become widespread throughout the world, with an effect on society. The outcome of the Covid-19 pandemic is unthinkable to forecast, at the time of this writing. But we can learn from previous pandemics to determine our best courses. The term has been allotted to only a few diseases in ancient time’s deadly flu in 1918, the H1N1 flu in 2009 and HIV/AIDS among them.

            A  Novel Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).  Coronaviruses (COV) are a large family of viruses lead to illness ranging from the common cold to more serious diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-COV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-COV). A novel coronavirus (n COV) is a new strain that has not been previously determined in humans.

            Symptoms of COVID-19 similar to that of the common cold, with those infected often suffering fever, cough, and shortness of breath, particularly the old people. However, infection can lead to pneumonia, multi-organ damage, severe acute respiratory syndrome, and even death, in more serious cases. The elderly and those with existing chronic health conditions have accounted for the possibility of deaths from COVID-19.It is more likely to attack children’s and old people. It is complicated in the patients who having cardiac vascular diseases, Respiratory diseases, Diabetes.

           Human coronaviruses most commonly transmit from an infected person to other person through

•  coughing and sneezing
• close  contact, such as touching or shaking hands
• touching the surfaces or items with the virus on it, then touching your face previous to washing your hands
•  fecal contamination

How to save yourself

There are presently vaccines are unavailable to save you against human coronavirus infection. You may be able to decrease your risk of contagious by doing the following

• wash your hands  with soap and water or sanitizer for at least 20 seconds
• avoid touching your face with unwashed hands
• avoid close  personal contact with people who are infected

How to save others

If you have cold-like manifestations, you can save others by doing the following

• stay home while you are ill
• avoid close personal contact with other people
• protect your mouth and nose with a tissue or mask when you cough or sneeze, then throw the tissue in the dustbin and wash your hands
• Clean and disinfect items and surfaces.

Safeguard yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking possible precautions. Follow recommendations given by your local public health officers.

To prevent the transmission of COVID-19:

• Clean your hands. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub sanitizer.
• Maintain a distance from person who is coughing or sneezing.
• Don’t touch your face
• Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a mask when you cough or sneeze.
• Stay home if you feel sick
• If you have a fever, a cough, and difficulty in breathing, ask medical attention.
• Follow the recommendations of your local health authority.
• Avoid unneeded visits to hospitals allows healthcare systems to operate more effectively, therefore protecting you and others.

           Coronaviruses are spreading from animals to people, with this unique strain of coronavirus thought to have raised from a market in the city of Wuhan in China in late December of 2019.The virus appears to have originated in Wuhan, a Chinese city about 650 miles south of Beijing that has a population of more than 1 crore people.

            On 11 March 2020, WHO announced Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) outbreak as a pandemic and call for countries to take immediate action and scale up response to treat, diagnosis and decrease transmission to save people’s lives. COVID-19 can be characterized as a pandemic. This is due to the fast increase in the number of cases other than China over the last 2 months that has effected a growing number of countries. Coronavirus, has exploded other than China and transmit the disease Covid-19 around the world. The World Health Organization announced it a global emergency in January, and currently that it has spread to the United States, with severe outbreaks in Italy and Iran, many health officials are preparing for it to become a pandemic. Over the last few months, the world has been suffering by a large scale viral outbreak – coronavirus – that causes covid-19. India has already reported over 21,700 cases of the virus, and as cases look like increasing further, here are the stages of a pandemic and what they entail.

Stage 1

In this stage of a pandemic, the disease doesn’t transmit locally – cases reported are usually people who have had travel history to an affected country.

Stage 2

This is the stage of local transmission – when people who have carried the virus into the country spread it to others they come in personal contact with, usually friends and family. At this stage, it is easy to find spread and quarantine people.

Stage 3

The third stage is when the source of the contagious is untraceable; this stage is determined by people who haven’t had travel history getting affected by the virus – once here transmit is extremely contagious and difficult to control.

Stage 4

So far, China, Italy, Iran, USA are the countries suffering  Stage 4, where transmission is practically uncontrollable and there are many major regions of infection all over the country.

        The coronavirus emerged in Wuhan, a city of more than 1crore people in China’s Hubei province, in late 2019. Cases of the disease it causes, COVID-19, rise by some thousand per day in China in past January and early February, the peak of the epidemic there. The number of contagious appearing each day has since plummeted in China, owing in large area to containment efforts, but the outbreak is now a global viral pandemic. Large outbreaks in South Korea, Iran, Italy, USA and other areas have propelled a rise in international cases across more than 210 countries.

         With the coronavirus viral pandemic, people all over the world have become more knowledge of the best practices during a viral pandemic, from careful hand-wash to social distance. Countries across the world announced mandatory stay-at-home, closing schools, businesses, and public places. Doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers are dealing with a high influx of patients, while also facing a lack of equipment and facilities in many cases and fear of infected themselves. Often they face heart breaking resolution while treating their patients. Dozens of pharmaceutical companies and many more independent researchers started working on tests, treatments, and vaccines. The push for the human race to survive the viral pandemic became the primary work in the world. As a result of the viral pandemic, many countries and areas have imposed quarantines, entry bans, or other restrictions for people of or recent travelers to the affected areas. The pandemic has led to serious global socioeconomic disruption, the postponement or cancellation of sporting, religious, political and cultural programs, and widespread shortages of supplies exacerbated by panic buying. The viral pandemic has caused the highest global decline in history, with more than a third of the global population being in lockdown or seal down.

         At present world is fighting against a global coronavirus pandemic to which more than 1.8lakh people are died and more than 26 lakh people are suffering from coronavirus and they are struggling for their existence. Large outbreaks in South Korea, Iran, Italy, USA, Spain, Brazil and elsewhere have propelled a spike in international cases across more than 210 countries. India has already reported over 21,700 cases of the virus, and as cases look like rising day by day. The world is facing such emergency for the first time after world war-II. The corona virus pandemic is analogous to a war but with an invisible enemy.
